Early on, I stated that I felt Camille was on loan, she just confirmed it. I recieved a card from a compassionate friend who, unfortunately, also knows the pain of loosing a child. In the card, she gave me a paper with a poem on it. I wanted to put it on this site because I felt that it truely expresses my angel's life.
I read a news report where an 8 year old girl died when a tree fell on a mobil home during Hurricane Ivan. This broke my heart, for the obvious reasons but also because for a few days I'd been toying with the idea writing a plea to the Govenor to use Camille to remind people the urgency and to heed the warnings during a natural disaster. I wrote the letter last night, but I cannot help but wonder, if I had done this when I first thought about it, would this little girl still have been in a mobil home during the storm?
If you would like to read the plea, click on "Read More"
This is a little off topic, but I thought I would post it here anyway. You see, I have always been interested in the storms. It is a love, but a love from a distance, relationship. I have watched the hurricanes for years, but now I look at them so differently.
I've been asked many times over again, how it is that I can be so strong. How am I able to get out of bed, get through my days. Mary Lou even said I'm her new idol. The answer is plain and simple...Camille.
If anyone has pictures of Camille that you would like to have put in the Photo Gallery, please email them to
and I will get them put up as soon as I can. Also include anything you might want as the caption to the photo.

Gricela and I met with a reporter from the Orlando Sentinel today. She is going to write an article about Camille that is supposed to be printed in tomorrows paper (Aug. 22, 2004). She said it will be a very nice article all about this special girl. We asked that the article include the phrase "Heed The Warnings" to get the word out to people that the warnings the officials give should be taken very seriously. I will report tomorrow about the article.

When hurricane Charley blew through Central Florida on Friday August 13th, 2004 it took our little girl. We lost more than a tree or a roof. We lost the one thing we love more than anything else. Camille was killed in a storm related traffic accident on the Beeline (528). The car she was riding in was hit by a "Father and Sons" company moving van.
